The painting was created in 2024 with water-mixable oil paints.  It has been properly varnished with a satin finish.  The subjects of the painting are two large succulents that were seen and photographed at Cedar Lakes Woods and Gardens in Williston, Florida. 
This piece is part of a series of small works painted by Danielle Doctor.  The pixel motif juxtaposes the realistically painted succulents to play with balance and focus pertaining to her personal experiences with aphantasia and grief.  You can read her whole art statement here.
